Problematization of Eating Habits in Relation to School Performance of Students in Grades 9B and 9C of the Cafam School

Abstract

This research project intended, in a broad sense, to problematize the students’ eating habits, to recognize the incidence of eating habits on their school performance, and to promote in students the acquisition of good eating habits. For this purpose, the authors implemented the use of contextualized meanings, descriptions and definitions, so that the data obtained from the different activities proposed for the development of the research could be expressed in a pedagogical way to provoke reflection on the part of both student teachers and students. The socialization exercise allowed the students to share their lifestyles in terms of food, as well as some aspects with which they are related in the institution and that greatly influence the way they eat during the course of the day. With the use of meanings, descriptions, and definitions placed in context, it is possible; In this case, that the data obtained from the different activities proposed for the development of the research can be expressed in a pedagogical way to provoke a reflection on the part of the teacher in training and the students about eating habits, school performance and the way in which these two factors influence the uniqueness of the different subjects. For the approach of the different themes, 3 phases are proposed that respond in a general way to each of the objectives proposed for the research; Thus, the exercise of socialization that students can share their lifestyles in the food sense in addition to some aspects with which they are related in the institution and that greatly influence the way they eat during the day.
