Senses and knowledge in environmental education in the training of science and biology teachers: an analysis of the proceedings of Epea
Abstract
The purpose of this article was to search for articles published in the Proceedings of the Environmental Education Research Meeting (EPEA). We emphasize the relevance of the event for the field of research in Environmental Education, since among its objectives, it is to outline a discussion, analyze and disseminate the research, in addition to a theoretical and methodological deepening in the field. We carried out an area survey of the works published in the Annals of the ten editions of the EPEA - searches started from the first edition in 2001, until the tenth edition in 2019. From the analysis of the works, we noticed a still very strong aspect in the undergraduate courses in Biological Sciences, about Environmental Education, mainly regarding the attention given to ecological issues. Thus, we must consider Environmental Education in its integrative, transversal form and that promotes reflection to dialogue with multiple dimensions and knowledge.
