Desarrollo de las competencias científicas: indagación y observación bajo el enfoque epc
Abstract
This article summarizes the work of pedagogical and didactic practice 1 and 2 at the Champagnat school in Bogotá, in which the teaching for understanding approach was implemented with the objective of developing scientific inquiry and observation skills with students of the tenth grade. This work was developed during 2018-1 with the advice of the teacher Martha Elizabeth Villarreal and in 2018-2 with Diana Catalina Carrión. A diag- nostic phase of two entrance workshops was initially proposed to identify the initial state of the aforementioned scientific competences in order to know at what level the students were; a matrix of indicators was thus designed which included various teaching-learning parameters under the teaching for understanding approach. Finally, in the implementation phase, a didactic sequence on artificial colors was designed with special emphasis on the social nature of learning, promoting reflection on social problems such as the use of artificial colors as food additives and the health damages that these they can cause, thus allowing the active participation of the student, thinking and acting with flexibility and criteria, and applying the concepts that they learned to different contexts.
