Efecto del feedback a través de screencasting en la escritura de un ensayo discursivo

Resumen

Este artículo de investigación tiene por objetivo general evaluar el impacto del feedback mediante screencasting en ensayos discursivos escritos. Las tres dimensiones evaluadas fueron: organización y estructura, cumplimiento de la tarea y dominio del idioma.

La muestra estuvo conformada por dieciocho estudiantes de séptimo grado de un colegio privado en Concepción, Chile.

El estudio siguió un diseño preexperimental; es decir, se aplicó un pretest y un postest a un grupo de participantes intacto (no aleatorizado). El instrumento utilizado en ambos tests correspondió a la sección de escritura del test internacional Trinity. Con respecto a la intervención, el grupo recibió un tratamiento de tres semanas, que consistió en la escritura individual de tres ensayos discursivos en modalidad en línea. El grupo recibió feedback mediante la herramienta screencast.

A partir de los resultados del pretest y del postest se observaron diferencias significativas en el ensayo discursivo en sus tres dimensiones: organización y estructura, cumplimiento de la tarea y dominio del idioma. Estos resultados confirman la hipótesis planteada en este estudio: la provisión de feedback mediante screencast tiene un impacto positivo en la escritura de un ensayo discursivo. Con respecto a los resultados del cuestionario, la mayoría de los estudiantes manifestó una percepción positiva hacia el feedback recibido mediante screencast.
