Alfabetizaciones digitales: una discusión conceptual en torno a la praxis crítica

Resumen

La comunidad educativa ha estudiado cómo implementar la alfabetización digital crítica en la práctica. Sin embargo, los esfuerzos para lograrlo se enfrentan a retos apremiantes sociales y tecnológicos. Con este artículo, queremos avanzar en el debate hacia implicaciones prácticas para analizar e interactuar con los significados de los textos en “lo digital” con el fin de potenciar la participación ciudadana y la transformación social. Exponemos los retos que dificultan la aplicación práctica de la alfabetización digital crítica: la confusión entre información y conocimiento, impulsada por las empresas; el impacto de los algoritmos estandarizados en el acceso a la información; el privilegio de algunos discursos y el silenciamiento de otros; y el impacto de la censura gubernamental. Posteriormente, revisamos casos pertinentes de la investigación y discutimos argumentos de la teoría crítica para proponer una respuesta viable a dichos retos. Sugerimos algunas prácticas esenciales que pueden incorporar enfoques adecuados al contexto para fortalecer la alfabetización digital crítica.
