Soil erosion: report on an investigative experimental activity in science teaching
Abstract
This report presents a reflection on a school experience, about the development and application of an experimental activity for the teaching of science, on soil erosion. The activity was given by teachers in initial training, with the intention of demonstrating and discussing the different types of soils (Latosol, Clay and Humus) found in the municipality of Cerro Largo - RS. With the execution of the activity, it was possible to observe different characteristics about the three types of soils analyzed, in addition to generating discussions about the factors that lead to erosion, in order to stimulate the students' critical thinking, expanding new debates covering social and environmental issues, since that this theme can be worked on in an interdisciplinary way, in which this knowledge about soils is explained together with situations that occur in the reality of students.
